Collecting Responses

Response Analytics

Understand form performance with completion rates, drop-off analysis, and field-level insights.

Open in app

The Analytics tab gives you a performance overview for each form without needing to export data to a spreadsheet.

Overview metrics

Metric Description
Total views Number of times the form page was loaded
Started Respondents who interacted with at least one field
Completed Respondents who reached and clicked Submit
Completion rate Completed ÷ Started × 100
Average time Median time from first field interaction to submission

Completion rate benchmarks

Typical completion rates by form type:

Form type Typical range
Contact form 70–90%
Lead generation 40–65%
Job application 50–75%
Survey (short, <10 fields) 60–80%
Survey (long, 20+ fields) 25–50%

If your completion rate is below benchmark, consider enabling Conversational Mode and reviewing the drop-off report.

Drop-off analysis

The drop-off chart shows at which field or section respondents abandoned the form. Fields with a high drop-off rate are candidates for:

  • Simplification (remove, make optional, or split into simpler sub-fields)
  • Reordering (move sensitive or demanding fields later)
  • Better labelling (unclear questions cause friction)

Field-level insights

Click any field in the drop-off chart to see:

  • Response rate — percentage of started respondents who answered this field
  • Common answers — for choice fields: a bar chart of option selections
  • Average value — for number and rating fields

Time-series chart

The responses-over-time chart shows submission volume per day. Use this to correlate traffic sources (email campaign, social post) with response spikes.

Filtering analytics

Apply a date range filter to see analytics for a specific period — useful for comparing before/after a form change or measuring campaign performance.

Privacy note

Analytics tracking is session-based and does not use third-party cookies. On forms with HIPAA Mode enabled, per-field analytics are disabled to avoid capturing PHI in analytics data.
